Big Sandy Spring Shooters,

It’s that time again! With Spring rapidly approaching its time to start preparing for the Big Sandy Spring Shoot to be held on March 18th, 19th, and 20th 2022

There will be two ways to register for this Spring Shoot:  First way is to download the registration form on our website, then mail the forms back to us. Be sure to add any special requests that indicates someone you want to be with and/or near so we can have optimal placement.  If you have multiple shooters in a group, please bundle everyone up and mail it in. With the unfortunate situation of having both shoots cancelled in 2020, many of you still have credits for the shoot; please note this on your registration form. You will still need to send in your registration forms even if you have a credit. The due date is February 28th, 2022. The shooters fee and cannon shooter fee has been increased to $325.00 plus the cannon helper has been increased to $175.00 due to increased costs.

The second way you can register is online at Follow the instructions to register and then pay by credit card. If you had a credit from the last cancelled shoot, you are still required to register.  There will be a 2½ percent charge card fee added to your payment. If you have any questions, contact Kenton at 602-327-7933 or send a note to

We will return your receipt with line positions and cash your check after the February 28th date; we expect a huge turnout for this event so be sure you get your registrations in early.

Spectators are welcome at the shoot and all spectators can pay at the gate when they arrive. Camping is free and a bus runs from the campground/parking area to the firing line.

We will not be offering matches and one on one training at this shoot.  Group training is still available and shooting packages are also available. Please call for details.

Great camp food will continue to be provided by the Kingman 4H club. Concession hours will be from Friday breakfast through Sunday breakfast.

Before heading to the shoot, check our website for current road conditions. Please make a note of site contact phone numbers in case you find yourself in need of assistance.

We take pride in our efforts to provide everyone with a safe place to shoot and thank you for your continued support.  We look forward to hearing back from you and hope to have you join our MG Shooter’s family for another “REALLY GREAT SHOOT.”

Warm Regards,

Ed Hope and Kenton Tucker
